NOT QUITE ONES is a compact horn-loaded speaker system developed around subtle material shifts, softened geometry and reduced visual presence.

Created for wall placement and smaller contemporary interiors, the project explores how minimal audio objects can still maintain a strong spatial identity without becoming visually dominant. The softly broken off-white surfaces intentionally avoid pure monochrome neutrality, creating a more atmospheric and tactile presence that changes under different lighting conditions.

The custom horn geometry is treated almost as a sculptural element suspended above the main enclosure, while the neon orange centre detail introduces a controlled visual tension within the otherwise muted palette. The result is a system balancing softness, precision and object-like minimalism while maintaining a physically expressive acoustic form language.
