Inspired by portable boombox systems from the 70s and 80s, reinterpreted through a contemporary geometric language.
The project combines both stereo channels within a single monolithic aluminium body, creating an object positioned somewhere between speaker system, furniture piece and spatial installation. Instead of hiding acoustic elements behind decorative surfaces, the system intentionally exposes oversized bass reflex geometries and raw industrial proportions as part of its visual identity.
The brushed aluminium enclosure is paired with a stained solid wood base acting as a contrasting material accent - balancing precision, weight and warmth within a single sculptural form. Developed as a compact but physically dominant listening object, the system explores how audio equipment can actively shape the atmosphere and visual character of an interior rather than simply exist within it.
